If you have an email account with your own domain and not a 3rd-party one, you’ll be able to use an email application such as Apple Mail, Thunderbird or Outlook to access and manage your mailboxes. The advantage of using such applications is that you can also take advantage of other features, such as address books and calendars. There are two different email protocols that you can choose from when you configure the app of your preference to access your email account – POP3 and IMAP. With the first protocol, all email messages that are received will be downloaded onto your device – mobile or desktop, unless you opt to save a copy on the email server. With the second one, the messages will be displayed at your end, but they will remain on the server all the time, so you can set up the email account on multiple devices and view the email messages from any place. You will also be able to examine old emails if there is an issue with your Internet connection, which is a big advantage over a web-based service.

POP3 IMAP E-mail Accounts in Hosting

You will be able to use any email client software and any desktop or mobile device to examine your emails if you opt for one of our hosting. Our email servers offer support for both protocols (POP3 and IMAP), so you can pick the one that corresponds to your requirements – you can download all email messages on your PC or you can keep the emails on the mail server if you are running a firm and different employees need access to them, for instance. You can even download an auto-configuration file for a given mailbox for any of the three most popular desktop clients – Thunderbird, Outlook and Apple Mail. You will just need to run the file on your PC and that email account will be automatically set up.
